2020 has been a tough year for many people but there have been many highlights too and for me a highlight of this year has been connecting with you.
Whether you’ve read my blog, watched an interview for my healer series, sent me your feedback or received one on one support from me for your self-care journey I am so grateful to you. You are why I continue to do this.
For many (myself included) this holiday season will be very different from the usual way of celebrating. Instead of a big celebration we will be having a cozy one, I’m calling this year my Cozy Christmas. I am enjoying all of the coziness I’ve been able to create for myself. Christmas movies, lots of tea drinking, gluten free treats, delicious soup, gorgeous decorations and fires in the backyard with my husband. I feel so fortunate to have so many blessings.
All of this has made me appreciate even more the people in my community who are doing the same, who are isolating with a quiet holiday and wearing masks to keep others safe. I am beyond grateful to the doctors, nurses, cleaners and other hospital staff that are keeping our health care system running.
To the business owners that have continued to pivot, plan and adjust to keep providing services and goods to feed us and enrich our lives. To those in the arts and gig industry who have been paused and who have showed their true form to find new ways to deliver their art to their patrons, thank you for the entertainment. It’s made getting through this pandemic so much easier.
To those that have lost their job, navigated their child’s education or care, dealt with caretaking during a pandemic, lost a loved one, had an illness or are still currently dealing with one (COVID included here), my hat is off to you all. What you have dealt with is no easy task.
It’s been a difficult year but the ingenuity, creativity, gumption and resilience that people have shown is amazing to me. It’s shown that we can accomplish much if we want to and that is something to be appreciated.
I wish you and your loved ones a very Happy Holidays, I hope it is cozy and wonderful. And may 2021 be filled with daily joy, warm love, delicious self-care, great success and excellent health.
Happy Holidays!
